Interactive French Theatre Performance of 'Shipwecked en France' - Monday 20th March
Following on from last year’s success we are again pleased to be able to offer pupils the opportunity to attend a performance by the Onatti Theatre Company on Monday 20th March at 1:45 pm in the school hall.
We are asking for a contribution of £2.00 per child to cover the cost of the performance which we feel is a very reasonable price for a live theatre performance which will motivate the children in their French learning. Payment should be made via Parentmail by Monday, 13th March.
We intend the whole day to be a celebration of French culture. Pupils may come to school in mufti but it must be in a French theme or colours of the French flag. We have asked the pupils to bring in a French themed packed breakfast on the day and each class will enjoy their petit déjeuner together. Suggested items for the breakfast include croissants, brioche, fruit etc. Please ensure that no nut items come to school as we have children with severe allergies.
Finally, the children have been asked to design a poster. They may wish to note down and draw pictures to represent a selection of their favourite French words, researched from a book or dictionary. Alternatively, they may wish to celebrate either a famous French painter, a famous musician, a sports personality or one of the more famous French landmarks – not just the Eiffel Tower please! Other suggestions could include the Sacre Coeur, the Champs Elysees or the Louvre to name but a few. The best posters will be put on display around the school and there will be a small prize for the best in each year group. Please have your posters ready to hand in on Monday, 13th March.
