Commemoration Assembly
Commemoration Assembly: on Wednesday 21st May we held a special assembly to remember all past staff at CRJS and celebrate their contribution to making the school what it is today. The assembly also commemorated the Centenary of the First World War. After the assembly the children scattered poppy seeds in designated areas around the school as a symbol of remembrance followed by the Reverend Mark Chester blessing each area, with staff and children. We then took great pleasure in opening officially the ‘Jane Newman’ garden with staff and guests – this was in recognition of Mrs Newman’s 36 years service at the school. An article with photographs of this unique and very moving event was published in ‘The Camberley News’ last week.
