It has been a spectacular springtime of sport at Crawley Ridge, with children throughout the school participating in a wide range of sporting activities. Rachel Taylor, Sports Co-ordinator for the school, explains why.
On Friday 25th May, parents and carers are invited to join the children for the afternoon from 12.45pm as they take part in the annual Sports Day event.
A huge thank you to all the parents, children, staff and the PTA who attended Get Growing Day on Saturday 21st April. Everyone worked really hard on many different tasks to help enhance our beautiful school grounds and the PTA provided most welcome refreshments and lunch.
Last Thursday, 15th March, was Greek Day in Year 4 and all the children arrived at school eagerly anticipating a fun day of activities.
On Thursday 8th March, Year 5 pupils were very excited to visit Hampton Court Palace as part of their study of the Tudors.
On Wednesday 28th February, the children on the playground were very excited as the first flakes of snow arrived at lunchtime.
Towards the end of last half term, both year 4 classes enjoyed a morning at the Ure Museum in Reading as part of their study of Ancient Greece.
Year 5 children bring their Tudor topic to life by making posy bags.
Last week, the Year 5 Netball Team played a match against St. Augustine’s Primary School.
Boys from Year 5, who play rugby for Camberley Rugby Club, proudly displayed their magnificent trophy won at a recent tournament.
Girls from Years 5 and 6 represented Crawley Ridge at the Surrey Heath Dance Festival, held at Tomlinscote School on 17th January.
On Wednesday 10th January, Year 6 visited the Swaminarayan Hindu temple in Neasden as part of their studies of the Hindu faith. The amazing temple is breathtakingly beautiful and back at school the children have been writing about their truly memorable experience.
