Year 5 have been learning about space exploration in history and our solar system in science this half-term. Even our art work has been space themed with bright abstract backgrounds created using pastels.

We have then painted a rocket silhouette to really stand out in the foreground. We now know why we experience day and night on Earth; why we have seasons; the phases of the moon and the other planets in our solar system including some fascinating facts about them.
